On this six-night, five-day tour through Paris, Champagne, Burgundy and Lyon, you'll visit some of the very best wineries and restaurants France has to offer.

What you can expect

Day one: Paris

The tour will commence in Paris where you will meet your guides and fellow travellers before indulging in a delicious dinner and spending the night in a chic French hotel.

Day two: Champagne

The tour’s first full day begins bright and early with a drive from Paris through the French countryside to Champagne, for appointments with two illustrious houses, Taittinger and Pol Roger.

Highlights from last year’s visits included sharing a glass of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2013 with the debonair Clovis Taittinger, watching Francis, master riddler at Pol Roger, in action, and staying at the luxurious Résidence Eisenhower.

Day three: Champagne

Start the day with a grower Champagne tasting at Résidence Eisenhower with Jane and Philip before visiting a grower Champagne producer, the rising superstar Dhondt-Grellet. Dine a Michelin-starred restaurant before spending another night at Résidence Eisenhower.

Day four: Chablis

Day four will be spent with appointments at Domaine William Fevre and Domaine Louis Michel, two exceptional Chablis producers. Afterwards, you'll drive to the quaint town of Auxey-Duresses to stay at the Hungry Cyclist – one of Philip's favourites – with dinner in nearby Beaune.

Day five: Burgundy

Another two appointments in Burgundy will follow, including a masterclass and lunch with Jane Eyre at her domaine. Dinner will be in Meursault.

Day six: Beaujolais & Lyon

The final day will begin with a visit to a tonnellerie (cooperage) in Burgundy followed by two appointments in Beaujolais. To conclude the tour, a farewell dinner awaits in the beautiful city of Lyon.
