LIOOC 2026-London International Olive Oil Competition Entries are evaluated through a blind tasting process, ensuring fairness and objectivity. Expert judges assess each sample based on sensory characteristics such as aroma, flavor, and balance
What Is Blind Tasting?
Blind tasting is a systematic evaluation in which tasters are not given any identifying information about the OLIVE OIL sample they are assessing. Each OLIVE OIL is presented in identical containers, usually coded with numbers, so that judges cannot distinguish one producer from another. This ensures that every sample is judged purely on its merits
Olive oil is more than a staple ingredient—it is a product of Craftsmanship, Terroir, and Careful processing. To ensure quality and fairness in #LondonOliveOil Competitions the samples are evaluated through a blind tasting process. This method allows experts to judge oils based solely on their sensory characteristics, free from bias related to brand, origin, or reputation
